Roof Repairs & New Roofs
Clay pots & GC5 gas cowls
Chimney head with new clay pots with GC5 clay gas cowl fitted to the left flue for a gas fire & pepper pot insert for ventilation of unused flue on the right hand side.
New tiled roof
The old tiled roof is stripped off. Insulation is fitted into the loft, complete with breather felt & new tanalised timber battens. Then the new concrete tiles & ridge are fitted. New fascia boards soffit & gutter complete the job.
Flat roof at the Black Country Museum
The old felt roof & chipboard are stripped off. New plywood decking is fitted & one piece of 7.5m x 5m EPDM rubber membrane is fixed complete with upvc edge trims to ensure 40yrs of leak free roofing.
However the roof could of been covered with high performance torch-on felt with solar reflective paint.
Roof & chimney repairs
We are able to carry out small jobs as well, including pointing of chimney stacks, slate roof repairs, ridge tiles, lead flashings, bay roof repairs.Or replacement with either lead, high tensile felt or lead replacement, which has no scrap value if stolen!
GC5 gas cowls & pots are fitted to flues used for gas fires. Either aluminium cowls & plates are fitted to unused flues or if you have a pot already we can fix a pepperpot insert to keep out the rain & birds.
